International orders - yes, we do them

Prices are affected by whether or not you order inside the European Union (outside the EU you don't pay VAT). The shipping fees depend on the country of delivery. It's all very easy - just select your country from the dropdown box below - you'll then see exactly what you have to pay. After that, just shimmy over to the online store and place your order.

After you choose your country from the drop down menu, a blue box will appear on top of the page, telling whether or not you have to pay VAT and what shipping to your country costs.

Placing an order

Just use the webshop. It's the easiest way for both you and us. Every product we stock is available in the online store.

If you are unable to access out online store or feel uncomfortable using it, feel free to send your order to us by e-mail. Write your address details and list the products, colours & sizes you want and send them to kauppa@varusteleka.fi. If your e-mail arrives before 4 pm GMT +2, your order should be processed within the hour.

Shipping and tracking

You'll find that our shipping prices are reasonable and the rates are fixed, no matter how big the order. In reality the shipping is more expensive than what you'll be paying, but we'll make up the difference.

Approximate delivery times (weekends and holidays are excluded):

• Nordic countries: 2-6 work days (UPS-standard)
• Rest of Europe: 2-6 work days (UPS-standard)
• Rest of the world: 7-30 days

We use UPS for European deliveries (EU, Norway, Switzerland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein) and Itella the Finnish national post office, and their International Priority service for the rest of the world.

Payment

We take both paypal and bank transfer. With bank transfers, be sure to pay for all the expenses, ours and theirs. We accept no other payment methods, so forget about checks!

Note! Even though we strive in all ways possible to prevent this, our stock information isn't always 100% accurate, ie. you might occasionalyl order something from our web pages that we do not actually have. In these rare cases we can either refund you (by paypal or EU bank transfer) or you can choose another product to replace the one we don't have. Despite our best efforts this happens sometimes, and if it happens to you we urge you to be patient. In these cases our staff is usually just as sorry as the customer, believe it or not.

Prices and taxes

In Finland, like most other countries in EU, we have VAT, Value Added Tax. It is nominally 23%, but due to the funny way it's calculated, this actually makes it some 18% of the price.

The simplest way to figure this out is simply to use the drop-down menu above and you'll see all prices and shipping as you get them.

(EU residents might think they pay more, but that's not the case - if you order outside the EU, you will usually have to pay local VAT and whatever customs duties your country might charge.)

Restricted items

We do not deliver abroad following items: Gun replicas, deactivated guns, gun parts, magazines, deactivated grenades. We know this sucks, but the Itella, UPS and all other companies will not carry them, because there are RULES. There is precious little we can do about it..
